9. Microscopes Room
Leaving the Sterilization Room, the tour continues with the Microscopes Room. Microscopy greatly advanced in the second half of the 19th century, allowing the identification of the germs responsible for infectious diseases. An extensive collection of microscopes, trichinoscopes, spectroscopes, saccharimeters, colorimeters, etc., manufactured by German and French companies, make up this room. The collection is complemented by a large number of anatomical-pathological preparations from the beginning of the 20th century, such as those made by Dr. Ángel López in 1919.
The latest acquisitions are two electron microscopes from the 1970's and the 1980's.
