I got the Degree in Mathematics from the University of the Basque Country, UPV/EHU in 2006. After several years working as a statistician in private companies, in 2012 I started working as a lecturer in the Department of Applied Mathematics, Statistics and Operations Research at the UPV/EHU. In 2015 I defended my doctoral thesis entitled Proposal and validation of methodologies for the categorization of continuous variables in the development of prediction models” in the same university.

I currently teach in the Mathematics Degree (2nd year Probability Calculus and 4th year Multivariate Analysis), Biology Degree (1st year Biostatistics) and in the Master in Modelling and Research in Mathematics, Statistics and Computation (Statistical Modelling).

As for my research lines, I work mainly in the development of statistical methodology oriented to the resolution of complexities derived from scientific research. On the other hand, I work on methodological support to researchers both within the Faculty of Science and Technology of the UPV/EHU and research units of surrounding centers (research centers and hospitals) and the Basque Statistics Institute (EUSTAT). To date I have published more than 15 articles indexed in JCR journals and have participated in more than 10 contracts.
