She obtained the Psychology Degree at the UPV / EHU and her PhD in Psychology at the Free University of Amsterdam. Her teaching develops in the field of social psychology, cultural and linguistic diversity. Her research focuses on a) how people and communities construct the meaning of social phenomena such as risk practices, health care, illness, the historical past and the 'other', using the theory of social representations, b) how these representations are transformed within the community through the use of language in conversations, media and so on, and c) the implications social representations have on social practices and coexistence. She also does research on psychosocial processes from an interdisciplinary view.
