The only source for the acquisition of objects in our Museum comes from donations of individuals and institutions. In time, we incorporated into our collection further documents which have been stored in a new and separate room at the Administrative Archive. Although not open to the public, the Historical Archive contains the medical records of Doctor Goti and other twentieth century materials, such as the registers and charts from those operated on by the surgeon Dr. Rementería during the Spanish Civil War (1936-1939), and production books from Altos Hornos de Vizcaya, etc.

The rooms are dedicated to two co-founders of the museum, the former Professor of History of Medicine at the University of Salamanca, Luis S. Granjel (1920- ), and the illustrious doctor from Gipuzkoa, Ignacio Mª Barriola (1906-1998).
