20. Elhuyar Gallery
A section of the gallery connected to the rooms exhibits pieces from the Engineering School of Bilbao donated by Professor Álvarez Isasi. The Gallery is dedicated to scientists Fausto Fermín de Elhuyar (1755-1833) and Juan José de Elhuyar (1754-1796), the discoverer of Wolfram.
The Gallery contains, among others, the following apparatuses: a Morín machine for the study of falling bodies; an apparatus for condensed vapour; a machine for the study of static electricity; another for elastic oscillations; a device devoted to the study of the Laws of percussion and movement of mass; another for the study of Boyle-Mariot Law; a scale for optical experiments; and a Whimshurt friction electrostatic generator.
Moreover, it contains a manual movie camera that dates from the beginning of the 20th century; a projector for reading didactical documents; a 1980 telex; the first personal computer for commercial use (Commodore), and several apparatuses for rehabilitation from the 1930's from the Sanatorium of Plentzia.
